Developing an AI Chinese Composition Assessment System for Hong Kong Students Writing literacy, a core ability demonstrating an individual's expression and communication skills is essential for students' lifelong development and future societal adaptability. The scientific assessment of writing literacy is becoming a prominent research topic. With the maturing of natural language processing technology, AI-based automated essay evaluation has become a frontier direction in current writing literacy assessment research. The ECNU developed an intelligent Chinese composition assessment system (小花獅作文智慧輔導系統) for mainland China's primary and secondary schools. This project revolves around a series of studies on the competent assessment of writing literacy of primary and secondary school students in the Hong Kong region. The research content includes defining literacy, automatic evaluation, and development suggestions. It aims to assess writing literacy and provide development suggestions through automated analysis of Hong Kong primary and secondary school students' essay texts.
