Cross-cultural amazing-talker language exchange in Hong Kong and GBA
Objectives:
- To create cross-cultural peer language exchange opportunities (e.g. discussion forums in Mandarin and English)
- To offer local students the teaching experience to teach students from the Greater Bay Area (GBA)
- To understand the culture and job opportunities from HK and GBA through an industry professional sharing and student-led sharing sessions
- To understand the different learning environments through school visit
Our Centre intends to organize a 1-night, 2-day study trip to Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT) to achieve the objectives above. We plan to recruit a group of 20 local students, preferably those majoring in Education, to participate in this language exchange study trip as student language ambassadors from Hong Kong. The study trip will be divided into two main parts: the language exchange at DGUT (Day 1) and the language exchange at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) (Day 2).
