Developing STEM Teaching Materials for Secondary Schools
The project will develop two sets of STEM teaching materials for secondary school use. School teachers will be invited to advise the sets as well as try out in their classrooms. Our students will serve as tutors to help the implementation of teaching materials. After the try-out of the first set (i.e., the first phase), the second set will be developed (i.e., the second phase). It is expected that the secondary students will gain knowledge, skills and/or values/attitudes in these learning processes whereas the teachers will gain insight when developing and implementing these teaching materials. Meanwhile, our BEd (Science) students also explore the current school setting in relation to STEM teaching, which definitely promote their understanding of STEM education.
