Programme leadership
Dr. Vanessa Pang specializes in second language teaching and learning and childhood bilingualism. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied English Linguistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she was trained in second language acquisition and pedagogy. Before joining The Education University of Hong Kong, she was a Lecturer at The University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Education, and a Senior Lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University. She has served as Programme Director of various early childhood education programmes, including the Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education and the Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education and Programme Leader of the Master of Arts in Inclusive Early Childhood Education (MA(IECE)) at The Education University of Hong Kong. She is also an Affiliated Research Fellow of the Childhood Bilingualism Research Centre at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
