Examining the Relationship between Digital Literacy, Informal Digital Learning of English, Self-regulated Learning, and Proactive Language Learning: A Cross-cultural Mixed-methods Study in Hong Kong and Iran This study explores the following objectives: Determine how macro-level sociocultural and systemic factors impact the PLLB of L2 learners in Iran and ESL learners in Hong Kong within digital spaces inside and outside the classroom.
