Physical Activity among Adults with Physical Disabilities in Hong Kong: A Qualitative Study
The purpose of this study is to gain an in-depth understanding of PWPD’s perspectives and their experience on PA participation by utilizing a TPB framework. Specifically, semi-structured individual interviews will be conducted to understand reality from the perspective of PWPD. Questions will be designed based on three main constructs of TPB, including attitudes towards PA (i.e., attitude towards action), significant others who support or not support you to participate in PA (i.e., social norms) and enablers or barriers of PA participation (i.e., perceived behavioral control). All this information will help make recommendations for developing related intervention.

The effectiveness of supervised group-based walking program on physical, psychological and social outcomes among older adults: A randomized controlled trail.
The overall aim is to examine the effectiveness of supervised group-based walking intervention by comparing with non-supervised group-based walking and non-supervised individual-based walking interventions on improving physical, psychological and social outcomes among the older adults in Hong Kong.

A Pilot Scheme for Training the Trainers to Empower People with Physical Disabilities (PWPD) in Playing the Sitting Light Volleyball (SLVB)
The proposed project is to launch a pilot scheme to train the trainers including VB/LVB professionals, members of LVBAHK, pre-service or in-service PE teachers, sports instructors, social workers, sport officers with skills and personal efficacy for coaching/assisting in coaching the future SLVB activities.

Fitness Level of People Using Wheelchair in Hong Kong
To investigate the functional fitness norm of people using wheelchair in Hong Kong. Establishing functional fitness norm of people using wheelchair enable the evaluation of people using wheelchair performance, hence allow the identification of functional weakness of risk-prone people using wheelchair. The fitness norm will also allow the further understanding the people using wheelchair’s physical well-being in Hong Kong, and enable further studies on Physical Activities, intervention for PWPDs. Upon the success in establishing people using wheelchair’s fitness norms, a set of measure tool/protocol will also allow practitioner use.
