Collecting and searching teaching materials, based on developing new language teaching curriculum with the cultural integration
The CLE center will be developing new curriculum initialized“漢語文化多面睇”, integrating the intercultural communication element into language teaching. On one hand, integrating language teaching with intercultural studies could boost students' learning interests from higher and wider perspective. On the other hand, the purpose of language learning is to foster a better cultural awareness and comparison between different languages.

為2014-15年度入學新生進行專上普通話測試(TPT)、篩選及補底轉介
本計劃旨在將TPT測試與學生的學習掛鉤,發揮TPT測試的更大功能。讓新生踏進校門,就知道自己的普通話水平等級,以及未來需要達到的目標。使TPT測試不僅僅用作豁免,也能將普通話水平較低的學生篩選出來,讓學生知道自己的普通話水平,與學校離校(或畢業)要求的距離。

Development of Online Assisted Interactive Classroom Teaching Materials and Online Self-learning Version for the New Putonghua Enhancement Programme (Elementary) : Listening and Transcription
The project aims at developing interactive materials and self-learning materials for the new online Putonghua (Elementary) remedial classroom, this includes online materials for listening and Pinyin. A TPT oral test database (3 TPT spoken papers) will also be established.

Self-access Curriculum Development of Tertiary Putonghua Test (TPT)
The aim of the project is to help students to meet the language exit requirements of new language policy, a systematic set of self-access language learning materials were developed. These materials will support the new Tertiary Putonghua Test (TPT) and its related curriculum needs.

Construction of Tertiary Putonghua Test (TPT) and Development of Relevant Teaching Materials, HKIEd, New Initiatives Supporting Implementation of “3+3+4”
The aims of the project are to develop language enhancement assessment, curriculum and materials for the Putonghua programs and strengthen the services in the Arthur Samy Language Learning Centre (ASLLC) anticipating the changes in the HKIEd language policy. The specific objectives relate to: (i) Putonghua self access materials development for the ASLLC (ii) Pathway programmes for Putonghua (iii) Assessment processes and tools for Putonghua
