Dr. Cheung is active in scholarly activity, including being invited as reviewer for international journal and external member of General and Professional Studies Advisory Panel of HK Baptist University (SCE) in 2008-12. She was invited to be author of pre-school physical education teaching manual by Oxford University Press in 2010. She is now serving as the Convenor of the Aerobic Gymnastic discipline in the Gymnastic Association of Hong Kong, China. Dr. Cheung is an ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist and an International Brevet Judge in Aerobic Gymnastics.

Professional Profile

Dr Peggy Cheung joined the Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2006 after earning her doctoral degree in the Hong Kong Baptist University. Her research interest is in the area of children's physical activity, physical activity measurement and promotion, and physical fitness assessment. She teaches under- and post-graduate classes at HKIEd in the area of health and fitness, sociocultural aspects of sports and aerobic dance.

Joyful Jockey Club “Love to Move” Programme
It is a three year project that promotes mental health with the help of sports by organizing different activities in Primary and Secondary Schools in Hong Kong; for example, student seminars, teacher workshops, parent workshops, student ambassador training, and elderly community visits. Integrating an Online Learning Platform through Moodle to Enhance Students Self-Learning on Health and Fitness Courses
The purpose of this project is to apply Moodle as an online learning platform for the Health and Fitness courses in the Undergraduate Program of the Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE). The implementation of Moodle allows lecturers to build and deliver the course resources (e.g., text, media materials and external links) and activities (e.g., creating assignments, managing forums and building groups) effectively to engaged students in active learning.
