Developing Cultural Sensitivity and Enhancing Curriculum Design Through Chinese Paintings in Hong Kong
The project focuses on Qualitative Education in cultural sensitivity, life-long learning through museum education and curriculum design of pre-service visual arts teachers. The project primarily aims at enhancing learners of pre-service and frontline teachers in curriculum design to develop cultural sensitivity of Hong Kong and China by policies (Education Bureau, 2017) regarding Chinese traditional painting and modern ink painting of museums in Hong Kong. Through understanding the collections of museums and establishing an art educational platform, visual arts teachers and students can create their personal Chinese paintings and enrich their Chinses painting and Hong Kong modern ink knowledge and ability in art appreciation. The project helps in developing cultural identity outside the classrooms by digital learning and physical observation in museums. Hong King is a multicultural city, the characteristic and combination of cultures are reflected in artists' presentations. Understanding presentation skills and perspectives of art works can broaden the pedagogy of visual arts teachers and enriched the art creation and art critic ability of visual arts students.

Sharing Brilliant - A Study of Ceramics Teaching and Learning of HK Secondary School 探索香港中學陶藝教與學
Art is one of the important component of our culture, ceramics making also a presentation method in traditional media. According to the diversity of western and Chinese art teaching curriculum and atmosphere in secondary schools are extremely large, educators have responsible to do more works on this aspect. Especially the Chinese Ceramics art history education in Hong Kong. As we know that there had HKCEE ceramics course in Four secondary schools of Hong Kong that included Chinese Ceramics art history and ceramics making, but it was closed in 2006 when HKDSE curriculum started. The ceramics course included Chinses ceramics history and ceramics making in those secondary schools because of the society changed to be an industrial city in 1980. Curriculum development also reflect the society changing and personal identity of Hong Kong in this period. The project prefers to raise the awareness of this curriculum in Hong Kong public examination history and also share the cultural awareness and art history awareness through curriculum design from 1980 to 2006 (HKEDB, 2006). The project will assess the curriculum of ceramics HKCEE by critics to the course outline and also interview to the previous ceramic teachers of the course. The project will also figure out the society development and ceramic making development of Hong Kong during these twenty years, like teachers' training program and studio training.
